What an Outrank valuation means
Outrank asking prices are informed estimates and commercial opinions, not guarantees of a sale, a future sale price, traffic, search rankings or business performance. An asking price is the published amount at which a listed domain is offered; it is not a certified market value.
Commercial buyer depth and category economics
Assessment begins with the plausible pool of Irish businesses, founders and organisations that could use the name. Buyer depth is considered alongside the economics and naming conventions of the relevant category, rather than assuming every industry supports the same price.
Word quality, length and clarity
Shorter is not automatically better. Outrank considers spelling, pronunciation, clarity, memorability, brandability and whether the domain communicates a useful idea without explanation. Irish relevance may come from established language, geography or commercial context; it is not inferred from vague associations.
Commercial intent, scarcity and alternatives
Search and commercial intent can support a valuation when the phrase maps clearly to buyer activity, but keyword volume alone does not establish value. Scarcity is assessed against realistic replacement alternatives: abbreviations, modifiers, other credible .IE names and names a buyer could register or acquire instead.
Comparable evidence and trademark checks
Comparable domain evidence is used only when a genuinely relevant and verifiable sale or listing is available. Outrank does not invent comparable sales or treat unrelated global extensions as equivalent evidence. A trademark sanity check can identify obvious risks, but it is not legal clearance or legal advice; buyers should obtain professional advice where needed.
Using the methodology
Review the current Outrank .IE Domain Market Index for aggregated asking-price context, then compare live marketplace inventory. Individual asking prices may differ from summary medians because each name has a different buyer pool, use case and replacement set.
